On August 1, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia began selecting applications for concluding contracts for the provision of subsidies from the federal budget to finance the costs of leasing organizations to provide light industry with equipment.

Support of investment projects aimed at modernization and technical re-equipment of light industry enterprises through preferential leasing is carried out within the framework of the implementation of the Resolution The Government of the Russian Federation No. 958 of September 23, 2016 On the Provision of Subsidies from the Federal Budget to Finance the Expenses of Leasing Organizations to Provide light Industry with Equipment on the Basis of Financial leasing. 

This financing mechanism is aimed at solving issues related to the purchase of equipment for light industry enterprises, and implies compensation to the leasing organization for the loss of income resulting from the provision of a one-time discount to the lessee in the amount of 30% of the purchase price of equipment upon payment of an advance payment.

Applications for participation in the selection will be considered until November 1, 2017.
