Changes in the register of small and medium-sized businesses
The register of small and medium-sized enterprises contains information about light industry enterprises whose average number of employees in 2017 ranged from 250 to 1000 people.
Earlier in the Law "On the development of small and medium-sized enterprises" (dated 07/24/2007 No. 209-FZ) amendments were made. They allowed, as an exception, to attribute light industry companies to medium-sized businesses whose average number exceeds the limit set for all of 250 people. This makes it possible for such enterprises to receive targeted support provided for by legislation on the development of small and medium-sized businesses (in the form of loan guarantees, compensation for equipment leasing costs, access to procurement).
Now, for the first time, such enterprises are included in the Unified Register of Small and Medium-sized Businesses, which is maintained by the Federal Tax Service.
