Ulyanovsk light industry occupies an increasingly important position in Russia
Within the framework of the 11th season of the international fashion week ULYANOVSK FASHION WEEK (November 08-10, 2024), a meeting was held with representatives of the light industry of the region with the participation of the Deputy director of the Department of Light Industry and Timber Industry The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia by Ksenia Bobyleva.
The participants discussed the possibilities of developing and entering new markets, presented local brands, and shared projects to popularize domestic companies in the field of light industry.
"The light industry of the Ulyanovsk region is becoming more and more recognizable due to systematic promotion work. And with such comprehensive support from the regional government, local brands have a very great future. Our The task is to use their example to show the whole country that regional brands can reach the federal level. There are already such examples. We want them to be more on store shelves," — stressed Xenia Bobyleva.
Currently, more than 140 enterprises in the Ulyanovsk region are involved in the production of clothing. On behalf of Governor Alexei Russian, the region has built a system of industry support, which includes assistance in promoting products, in particular through multi-brand showrooms of the country, participation in exhibitions, presentations and screenings. Thanks to this, Ulyanovsk brands took part in the Moscow Fashion Week, products from regional manufacturers are presented on store shelves in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
As told The head of the regional Center "My Business", Ruslan Gainetdinov , also discussed proposals for support measures during the event. Entrepreneurs spoke about the need to develop educational tools and measures aimed at promoting products. Tools for entering electronic trading platforms have also shown good efficiency.
"The Ulyanovsk region is ready to become a center for the development of light industry and act as a platform for major image–building industry events," Ruslan Gainetdinov noted.
At a business meeting Marina Alekseeva, First Deputy Prime Minister In the Ulyanovsk region, she stressed that the sphere of light industry consistently shows good results. The index of clothing production in the region has been growing for five years : from 106% to 115% annually, despite covid and sanctions pressure.
"Event events such as fashion weeks have an important role in promoting brands. Their main goal is to make our companies recognizable. We are carrying out this work within the framework of the instruction of the President of Russia on the promotion of regional brands under the national project "Small and Medium -sized Enterprises". In addition, work is underway at the federal level to identify centers for the development of the light industry. Our region has all the opportunities to become one of them," the deputy chairman noted.
In addition, as part of the business program, the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia visited and got acquainted with the work of leading local enterprises and visited the production of "Boston", "BUSINESSLINE" and the store of the brand "KOFPLA".
Over the course of three days, fashion shows of more than 50 brands from Ulyanovsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and other Russian cities took place at fashion week, including Kuzina, Befree, Kofpla, Mikita, Li Tata, Elegant, Level men's and others. Lila Meng, a designer from China, presented her creative collection of knitted clothes and shoes "Girls from the Magic Forest" on the catwalk. The headliner of the children's show was designer Evgenia Klimkova with the Klimkova Kids brand. Alexandra Gapanovich, a rising star of Russian fashion design from Murmansk, became a special participant in the adult block.
"Every season, the Ulyanovsk Fashion Week project becomes stronger, stronger and more professional. This year, more than 3 thousand people attended the Fashion Week in Ulyanovsk.
