An extended meeting was held on November 15, 2018 The Board of the Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs (Soyuzlegprom) with the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, FRP, JSC "SME Corporation", the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Entrepreneurship in Textile and Light Industry and the Commission on Textile and Light Industry of the RSPP.

The meeting discussed issues of state support measures for the textile and light industry, the introduction of digital technologies and platform solutions ("digitalization") into the practical activities of the industry and Soyuzlegprom, and also discussed the OECD Standard on Responsible Business in Light Industry.

President of the Union Andrey Razbrodin stressed that serious changes for the better have been outlined in the industry, but there are also problematic issues. "It is necessary to agree on possible solutions in order to present the sectoral agenda in a single block at the upcoming government meeting on the light and textile industry in December, chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev."

Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice-President of the RF CCI, member of the Board of Soyuzlegprom , noted that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, together with the Committee of the RF CCI on Entrepreneurship in the Textile and Light Industry, has always supported and supports the efforts of the industry professional community.
