"Jamilko" buys a cosmetics brand

The group «Jamilko», which sells premium and luxury clothing, buys the company «Kiko Rus», which manages the Russian stores of the Italian cosmetics seller Kiko Milano.

The products of this budget brand are still poorly known in Russia, its promotion is possible only with investments in creating an attractive and original retail concept. In addition, it is necessary to take into account that against the background of a decrease in the incomes of the Russian population, the market of decorative cosmetics is sagging. Buyers are increasingly refusing to purchase a particular brand, choosing cheaper alternatives.

On October 25, FAS granted the petition of JSC "IFC"Jamilko" to acquire 99.99% LLC «Kiko Rus». There are 16 mono-brand stores Kiko opened in Russia, almost all of them are located in Moscow, only two points are present in the south of the country. Assortment Kiko – these are makeup products, care cosmetics, accessories.

The group of companies «Jamilko», existing since 1993, operates more than 150 stores located on the territory of the Russian Federation under the brands Salvatore Ferragamo, DKNY, Escada, New Balance, Timberland and others . In addition, the products of the brands are sold through a dealer network with more than 350 partners throughout the country. The net profit of IFC «Jamilko» in 2017 amounted to 262.08 million rubles.
