Results of BE IN OPEN 2018
From June 8 to June 9, the Bakery took place at the site The forum of the new fashion industry BE IN OPEN. The profile event for fashion market professionals was held for the fourth time and this year gathered more than 2,000 participants: designers, retailers, representatives of garment factories, industry media, specialists of related professions and students of specialized educational institutions. The forum BE IN OPEN was held with the support of the Department of Culture of the City of Moscow and strategic partners Première Vision and Paris Aèroport.
Five venues simultaneously hosted performances by iconic fashion industry specialists, master classes of educational projects, speed-dating with buyers, factory representatives, marketers, as well as a showroom of 50 Russian brands.
In two days, 60 speakers spoke at the Forum, whose reports and master classes were devoted to topical issues in the field of design, production, marketing and sales. Among the speakers of BE IN OPEN this year were: Guglielmo Olearo (Premiere Vision, Paris), Anya Aronowski Kronberg (Vestoj, Paris), Mo Kim and Jessica Jang (Rare Market, Seoul), Alexander Bichin (Aizel), Maxim Anufrienko (TSUM), Nikolay Krasavin ("Color"), Irina Maksimova (Lamoda), Gulshan Sharipova (Wildberries), Alyona Konnova ("Rusmoda"), Anastasia Poletaeva (L’Officiel), Anastasia Novaya (12Storeez), Irina Godunova (R.S.V.P), Alexandra Larina (Levi's Russia), Inga Mikaelyan and Sergey Khitrov (RBC).
The main topic of the conference was the ratio of global and local in Russian fashion production.How to attract foreign buyers and organize sales abroad? Why are local brands not yet ready to cooperate with large market places? Which of the Russian designers are bought by Korean multi-brands and why? Is the direct use of global trends a risk factor for Russian brands? Why does the mass market need collaborations with local brands? How to get started with Topshop, Lamoda, Wildberries and Aizel? These and many other issues were discussed by the forum participants.
A presentation of 50 modern local brands working in the directions of high fashion, street-wear and casual took place in the showroom within the framework of the Forum. The main goal is to show representatives of the Russian fashion industry and foreign buyers promising design brands of 2018. Among the participants of the showroom were such brands as Inshade, ZDDZ, Rosbalet, Fakoshima, TZSM, "Two Balls", Affex, Futureisnown, Husky Wear, Annur, Mineral Weather, Anton Lisin, "Sputnik 1985", Ssanaya Tryapka and others. Some of the brands of the BE IN OPEN showroom participants will travel to Paris from June 21 to 26 to present their collections to foreign buyers.
Business networking is one of the most useful formats for business on the Forum. During short meetings with specialists and companies, the Forum participants got acquainted with future partners, suppliers of fabrics and accessories, sewing industries, stylists and marketers. This year at BE IN OPEN their services were presented by Premiere Vision, Lamoda, Dear Progress, MITSUI, Kunjut T&D, BVSHD, Fashion Factory School, Grasser, «Krestetskaya stitch», Kiosko, MoiSklad, Fabric House, InSales and other companies.
