Results of Detsky Mir Group of Companies for the first quarter of 2018

GK «Children's World» Russia's largest retail operator of children's goods has announced operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018.
 
 
The volume of consolidated unaudited revenue of the Group of Companies "Detsky Mir" in the 1st quarter of 2018 increased to RUB 24.0 billion by 14.0% compared to the 1st quarter of 2017. At the same time, the revenue of the online store increased by 64.9% to 1.5 billion rubles. compared to the same period last year.
      
Comparable sales of the chain of stores «Detsky Mir» in Russia increased by 5.1%. Of these, the comparable increase in the number of checks was 8.8%, and the comparable size of the average check decreased by 3.4%.
 
In the 1st quarter of 2018, 5 new stores of the chain were opened. The development of the ELC store chain continued, and two new stores appeared, in Moscow and Krasnodar. The total number of stores of the Group of Companies thus amounts to 625 today, and the total retail area increased by 15.1% year-on-year to 686 thousand sq. m.
 
 
The number of active loyalty card holders "Detsky Mir" increased by 24%, to 18.8 million people.Over 75% of total sales during the 1st quarter were made using loyalty cards.
 
«MTS Bank»and «Detsky Mir» have launched co-branded cards with increased bonus accrual. Now customers will be able not only to make purchases using a credit or prepaid card "Detsky Mir" MTS Bank", but also to pay with bonuses up to 100% of the cost of goods in retail stores "Detsky Mir".
