The 28th season of Milano Unica

Zone Tendenze – this is the real heart of the exhibition. The end point of a journey that begins with the presentation of new trends  an exclusive event organized by Milano Unicaa few months before the start of the exhibition to reveal the theme chosen for the season. S/S 2020 Trends is based on a musical menu divided into three themes, which creatively combine musical genres, different historical periods and food from around the world: 80s+ Cous Cous + Rap, 50s + Bon Bon + Jazz and 70s + Funky + Tabbouleh.

In February 2019, the Tendenze zone will present samples created by the exhibitors based on inspiration from the musical menu, arranged according to "temporary islands". Visitors will plunge into a sensual and aesthetic experience, saturated with music, mood and suggestions of the period to which each topic is dedicated.

"Sustainable Innovation" (Sustainable Innovation) is the leitmotif of the new edition of the project Sustainability, which in this case is significantly enriched and developed both by the content approach to the topic and by the criteria promotion of its participants. The sustainability of the process is a key pillar for the selection and promotion of enterprises and their products, which will be exhibited not only in this zone, but also through all the channels of Milano Unica (for example, on the website and in the official catalog, available both in print and online).

In accordance with its sustainability commitments and following the guidelines defined by SMI Sistema Moda Italia, Milano Unica has implemented a number of initiatives aimed at raising awareness of participants and reducing the carbon footprint* of the exhibition. This approach is one of the key measures on the way to a more sustainable future.
