On February 6, the XXVI season of the International Textile Exhibition Milano Unica began its work in Milan. Traditionally, the exhibition began with the grand opening ceremony. The President of the Milano Unica exhibition, Ercola Botto Paola, began his opening speech with words of gratitude to Silvio Albini. After that, he presented to the attention of the gathered specialists and professional press from all over the world an overview of the prospects and opportunities for the Italian textile industry sector in the near future. David Orban, Pietro Sella, Claudio Marenzi and Ivan Scalfarotto expressed their confidence that these prospects are real and show a confident trend towards development, provided that digital technologies are used in the fashion world.

The first day of the exhibition Milano Unica did not disappoint the organizers of the exhibition, showing the expected number of registered professional visitors. The gathered professionals noted with great interest the new section of the exhibition dedicated to traditional industries. And although this section attracted the attention of the exhibition debutants more, all samples of textiles and accessories presented at the exhibition were produced using certified materials and processes.
