The laureates of the Golden Spindle-2018 Award were awarded
On March 22, 2019, on the final day of the Russian Textile and Light Industry Week-2019, the XVI annual ceremony of awarding the National Industry Award "Golden Spindle" took place. The award was awarded to the winners in industry nominations based on the results of 2018.
The Golden Spindle Award was established in 2003 and has become the most prestigious annual industry award. The founders and organizers of the award ceremony are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, the Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs, the National Academy of Fashion Industry.
"Golden Spindle" is the main award in the Russian fashion industry, an annual assessment of the highest professional achievements in the field of formation and development of the fashion industry in Russia. Its laureates in various categories are textile and light industry enterprises, fashion houses, workers of leading professions, designers, fashion designers and many other representatives of the industry community.
Today, the symbol of the national award is a stylized spindle made of silver with gold plating, as well as special awards in various categories were received by enterprises of the textile and light industry of Russia, fashion houses, design bureaus, Russian fashion designers, trade organizations, artists, journalists whose professional activity contributes to the development of the fashion industry and the domestic textile and light industry.
The award winners were attended by: Vice-President of the RF CCI Dmitry Kurochkin; Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Vyacheslav Nikonov; Chairman of the RF CCI Committee on Entrepreneurship in Textile and Light Industry, President of Soyuzlegprom Andrey Razbrodin; Director of the Department of Light Industry and Timber Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Evgeny Ryzhov; general producer of the National Award Ceremony in the fashion industry «Golden spindle» Lyudmila Ivanova.
In his speech during the ceremony Andrey Razbrodi emphasized the importance of the award in raising the prestige of almost all professions in the industry. "The award, let me remind you, originated at the Fashion Academy under the leadership of Vyacheslav Zaitsev, who actively supported this idea and contributed to its implementation in every possible way. I would also like to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for supporting the same idea, as well as for supporting all proposals aimed at popularizing the award, its promotion to the rank of an annual significant event of the All-Russian rank. We consider it expedient to give this award a more serious, more precisely, state status. For our light, but in fact very "difficult" industry, the Golden Spindle Award is an obvious success, arousing increasing interest in the expert and business community not only in our industry. So, I hope that together we will be able to bring the award to the Kremlin in the rank of a status state event," the president of Soyuzlegprom noted.
A similar assessment of the significance of the award was expressed by Evgeny Ryzhov, noting that the award "has fully proved and continues to prove its comprehensive role in stimulating the development of the domestic light industry. But not only that. "The golden spindle is also the most important incentive to increase the prestige of absolutely all sectors and directions of the Russian light industry and, therefore, to increase labor productivity in the industry."
Dmitry Kurochkin assured the participants of the ceremony that "the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Entrepreneurship in the Textile and Light Industry have always supported and will continue to actively support the national industry award, as it promotes the popularization of domestic brands, the development of the domestic fashion industry, its competitiveness, as well as the domestic light industry in general.
