On the eve of Textile and Light Industry Worker's Day Acting Governor of the Ivanovo Region Stanislav Voskresensky visited Ivanovo State Polytechnic University, where he held a meeting with industry workers. The head of the region congratulated the representatives of the textile sector on their professional holiday, presented awards to the best employees of enterprises and took part in a round table on the prospects for the development of the textile industry.

 

 

Before the event Stanislav Voskresensky got acquainted with the work of the Engineering Center of the Textile and Light Industry at the IvSPU. V.R. acting Governor was particularly interested in the technologies of three-dimensional design of clothing, which are rapidly developing along with the growth of the e-commerce market.

 

Together with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the regional Government has developed a concept and roadmap for the development of competencies in the textile and light industry. And, of course, we would very much like an important part of this project to be formed here, in the Ivanovo region, on the basis of the Engineering Center of the Polytechnic University,"said Acting Rector of IvSPU Evgeny Rumyantsev . In turn Stanislav Voskresensky outlined the tasks to be solved for this university. "The Polytechnic University should work more closely with our industrialists. You must understand and keep abreast of: what are the most advanced technologies, what is really in demand in the economy, so that your graduate students have the best competencies, stressed Stanislav Voskresensky. V.R. acting Governor called for the return of leadership positions: "Everything needs to be done so that, as in the past, the university trains qualified personnel both for the Ivanovo region and for the country as a whole."

 

During the round table, a conversation took place about the prospects for the development of the industry. Heads of enterprises, scientists, students, employees of industrial enterprises, representatives of public organizations made a number of proposals on topical areas of work. So, Ekaterina Golubeva, a student of the Ivanovo College of Light Industry, winner of the qualifying competitions of the WorldSkills Russia National Championship in the competence of Fashion Technology, raised the issue of branding Ivanovo fabrics, which, in her opinion, is not being given due attention now.
