Ivanovo cluster will cooperate with Uzbekistan

On August 7, the heads of leading textile companies Representatives of the executive bodies of vlast as part of the official delegation visited a number of textile enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan, got acquainted with their activities and discussed the possibility of implementing joint investment projects and the development of cooperation.Within the framework of the visit, negotiations were held with the leadership of Uztextilprom with the participation ofActing Governor of the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky.

 

 

The Association "Uztextilprom"unites enterprises of the textile and sewing and knitting industry of Uzbekistan, its main tasks are to develop a strategy for the development of the industry, expand and support industrial cooperation, ensure the introduction of innovative technologies, attracting foreign investments, training personnel. Representatives of the association spoke about the areas of activity, the discussion focused on the development of cooperation between Uzbek and Russian enterprises and mutual investments.

 

During the visit to Uzbekistan, the possibility of cooperation at the regional level was discussed. It is proposed to establish economic and cultural ties between Ivanovo region and Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Specific cooperation proposals were discussed at the meeting of the delegation of the region headed by the acting Governor Stanislav Voskresensky with representatives of the khokimiyat of the Tashkent region.

 

 

In addition, the Ivanovo region received an invitation to participate in The first Russian-Uzbek interregional cooperation Forum and Forum of Light industry in the fall of this year.

 

Previously The Government of the Russian Federation has set the task of developing and implementing integration projects in the textile industry with the Republic of Uzbekistan. At the moment, a draft agreement is being developed with the republic on cooperation in the textile industry, the signing of which is scheduled for autumn this year. In The Government of the Russian Federation has established a working group on the implementation of integration projects in the textile industry with the Republic of Uzbekistan, co-chaired by Stanislav Voskresensky.
