Textile Trend Forum 2019
From March 19 to 22 within the framework of « Russian Textile and Light Industry Week 2019» and exhibitions «Intertkan – 2019.Spring» in the Central Exhibition Center «Expocentre» on Krasnaya Presnya will be held Textile Trend Forum(Textile Trend Forum).
Textile Trend Forum – this is a professional design space, the main purpose of which is to inform specialists about current trends and trends in textile design of the season «spring-summer 2020». The Forum is open to visitors of the exhibition «Intertkan» and business events «Russian Textile and Light Industry Week – 2019». In the forum program Trend zone and Interactive Business Zone.
The trend zone will be the central event of the forum. It is organized and decorated by the design studio Solstudio Textile Design using textile materials provided by exhibiting companies. Companies participating in the exhibition in the trend zone get the opportunity to present the best fabric samples from new collections in the categories: structures and surfaces, decoration and decoration, fabric pattern and sustainable development. The company name and booth number will be indicated on each presented fabric sample to help visitors find the manufacturer they like. In the trend zone of the forum, you will be able to learn about the new trends of the spring-summer 2020 season and get professional advice from the specialists of Solstudio Textile Group, who will tell you about current trends and answer questions regarding textile design and digital printing on fabric. A professional jury will evaluate the fabric samples presented at the Trend Zone of the Forum, and based on the results of the evaluation will select the winners who will be awarded the Interfabric Award during the opening ceremony on March 19.

In addition, on March 19, at the opening ceremony of the "Light Industry Week 2019", the winners of the international competition TEXTILE DESIGN TALENTS 2019 will be awarded.
The main goal of the contest is to support talented textile designers, draw the attention of professionals of all industries to them and create conditions for the best use and development of their outstanding abilities in the industry. The competition is held by Solstudio Textile Group with the support of Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs (Soyuzlegprom), Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, "Russian Textile and Light Industry Week"2019", exhibitions "Intertank".
This year, more than 3,000 applications were submitted for consideration by the international jury.The jury included: Alessandro Colombo, S.P.A. Ratti; Elsa May, Première Vision; Izabel Wharton, WGSN; David Shah, Textile View; Giovanni Ottonello, IED Istituto Europeo di Design, – as well as leading Russian experts in areas of textile design: Alyona Akhmadullina, founder of the brand of the same name; Andrey Razbrodin, President of the Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs; Alexandra Kaloshina, founder of Solstudio Textile Group, Irina Rybaulina, Head of the Department of Textile and Ornament Art of Kosygin Russian State University.
