On guard of labor
From November 1, new rules on labor protection in light industry are being introduced.
According to these rules, only those employees who have been trained in occupational safety and testing of this knowledge will now be able to start or continue working in the field of light industry. All others will not be allowed to production."
"Employees performing duties that are subject to increased labor protection requirements must be re-instructed at least once every three months, as well as at least once every twelve months,"the document says.
New rules on labor protection in light industry establish state regulatory requirements for labor protection when:
- organization and carrying out of the main processes and works related to the production and finishing of fabrics and knitwear;
- production of nonwovens, spinning;
- manufacture of textiles and clothing;
- processing of leather raw materials, tanning and finishing of leather;
- fur dressing and dyeing;
- manufacture of clothing, shoes and other leather and fur products.
The rules are mandatory for employers, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities, regardless of their organizational and legal form.
