The first of the speakers, Andrea Moretti, – co-owner and general manager of the firm Moretti Moda s.r.l, a company that produces and sells products of the brand Piero Moretti.
He graduated from the University of Bolonia Alma Mater Studiorum and, having come to work for the company, gained experience in all areas from production to sales. Andrea brought to the work of the company the skills acquired at the university, making a thorough market analysis for his company, rebranding his father's brand Piero Moretti and contributing to the national and international expansion of the company. Today, the brand Piero Moretti, headed by Andrea, is a solid, constantly growing company for the production and sale of women's clothing with an export share of more than 60% and with more than 700 stores worldwide.
The second speaker is the owner of the company Ommy s.r.l. Omar Morotti, who has more than 25 years of experience in the field of knitting as the head of the production of knitwear for men and women of brands such as Dolce &Gabbana Tom Ford, Zegna, Brioni, Haider Ackermann, Gucci, Roksanda and Victoria Beckham. He started his activity in 1994, opening a small knitting studio, in which, together with his mother and two other employees, he produced T-shirts and sweaters for local enterprises. Almost immediately, Omar realized that he had to improve the quality level very quickly, as the market began to change, and factories moved to countries with cheap labor. From that moment on, the customers of Ommy s.r.l. always remained only of a high level, and this became the key to success, as it allowed the small company to grow and develop. In 2008, due to the crisis, Omar decided to change his strategy. He began traveling to other European countries and the United States in search of new brands interested in producing goods in Italy. Collaborations with companies from the USA, England, Belgium, Korea and Japan were created very quickly, which was the reason for the expansion of the company in 2010. Today, the production has 20 knitting machines and more than 100 sewing machines, as well as 40 employees. In addition to cooperation with high global brands, the company store Ommy in Pesaro offers products of its line omarmorotti, meeting the latest fashion trends, made of high-quality materials, mainly cashmere.
