Italian Fashion at the CPM Exhibition

At the 31st exhibition CPM–Collection Première Moscow, one of the main events of the fashion industry in Russia and Eastern Europe, which will take place from 4 to 7 September 2018 at the Expocentre Fairgrounds on Krasnaya Presnya In Moscow, the association EMI  Ente Moda Italia is taking part again with a special section Italian Fashion. It will feature collections of women's, men's and children's clothing, as well as underwear and accessories.

 

 

At the September exhibition, which involves a total of 1,300 brands from around the world, a selection of 108 Italian brands will be presented (approximately the same number as in the previous year).

 

The companies will present their novelties of the spring-summer 2019 season: 86 collections of adult clothing in the section Italian Fashion@CPM; 14 collections of children's fashion in the section Italian Kids Fashion@CPM (located in the same pavilion, what is adult clothing Made in Italy); 9 collections of underwear and beachwear in the section Body & Beach.

 

The Italian participation in the exhibition is enriched with new initiatives in order to attract the attention of the largest number of visitors and create strong business ties. This year, for the first time, the ICHE Agency organizes the participation of Italian companies in the display of underwear, beachwear and hosiery. The share of this type of product is 16.7% of imports from Italy in the clothing and accessories sector.

Special events and strategic initiatives are also planned for this season. Thanks to the project of the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy, implemented by the Moscow office of the Agency and the Embassy of Italy, the Department for the Development of Trade Exchange in cooperation with EMI Ente Moda Italia and SMI Sistema Moda Italia, a trip was organized to the exhibition 35 leading buyers one of the most economically developed regions of Russia. In addition, with the support of the ICHE Agency, the Italian Fashion Lounge will work at the exhibition a special Italian zone for comfortable communication of Italian companies with buyers and journalists.

 

As part of the support of Italian companies producing underwear and beachwear, on the first day of the exhibition, on September 4 at 18:00, Italian brands will take part in the Gran Defilé show, to which leading buyers from all over Russia are invited.

 

Alberto Scaccioni, Executive Director of EMI expects a successful exhibition season: "We participate in every exhibition CPM with growing confidence in the Russian market and are optimistic about the gradual recovery of the economy countries. This is confirmed by the data of the Sistema Moda Italia association on Italian exports to Russia: in the first three months of 2018, an increase of almost 4% was recorded. Some segments showed growth of two or even three times. Russia is one of the target markets for the Italian fashion industry, which is why it is so important for our companies to track the evolution of this market. We are pleased with the work done to establish contacts with our strategic partners, the ICHE Agency and Sistema Moda Italia. This will ensure the presence at the exhibition of a carefully selected group of buyers from remote regions of Russia and recreate the atmosphere of Italy especially for invited specialists, which will increase the efficiency of their interaction with Italian companies.
