5 Russian pavilions on the most popular marketplaces in Asia

The Russian Export Center has opened 5 Russian pavilions on the most popular marketplaces in Asia: Tmall, JD, 1688, Lazada and Rakuten, according to the release of the organization.

The easiest way to start export activities is through electronic trading platforms. marketplaces. This is especially true for companies entering Asian markets, where locals actively use local search engines, social networks and marketing tools. At the same time, Asian e-commerce markets are very different from European ones, and without knowledge of the specifics of the local market, Russian exporters may face difficulties in creating and promoting their own local online store.

Placing products on local marketplaces is the most effective way to quickly and easily tell about yourself and your product in a new market. Alibaba Group on «bachelor's day  November 11, 2017, sold through its marketplaces goods worth 25.3 billion dollars  2 times more sales made online stores in the USA and Europe during "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" combined. But even when registering on popular Asian marketplaces, Russian exporters face serious barriers: the mandatory presence of a local legal entity operating for at least several years and a service partner for certification, marketing, assembly and delivery of orders, a high price for opening and maintaining a store on the marketplace. To overcome these problems The Russian Export Center has launched several virtual Russian pavilions at key online sites in China, Japan and Vietnam.

These are:

  • Tmall – the largest retail trading platform in China in terms of sales;
  • JD is the second largest retail trading platform in China;
  • Rakuten is the largest retail trading platform in Japan in terms of sales;
  • Lazada is one of the most popular trading platforms in Vietnam;
  • 1688 The largest wholesale trading platform in China, designed for the domestic market.

Now Russian exporters have the opportunity to carry out online sales in China, Japan and Vietnam without having a local legal entity and without paying for opening an account on marketplaces. Detailed information on how to participate in the project is on the website РЭЦ.
