Exhibition of dresses of film actresses from the collection of Alexander Vasiliev
Exhibition «Cinema and Fashion. Dresses of famous film actresses from the collection of Alexander Vasiliev" will be held for the first time in the department store "Sokolniki Shopping Center".
From October 10 to December 31, fashion historian, collector and famous TV presenter Alexander Vasiliev will give everyone the opportunity to touch the world of Soviet movie stars who personified the style of the era.
Movie idols were Valentina Serova, Lidiya Smirnova, Klara Luchko, Svetlana Svetlichnaya, Lyudmila Kasatkina, Natalia Fateeva, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Natalia Gundareva, Lyubov Polishchuk and others. At that time, actresses were not just famous women, they were landmarks in the fashion world, they were imitated.
The central exhibits of the exhibition will be evening and stage outfits, as well as rare accessories and unique items belonging to film stars:
- jacquard fabric dress with satin trim by the actress Lyubov Polishchuk, which was created for the filming of the film "12 chairs" directed by Mark Zakharov;
- the author's replica of a crepe de chine hoodie dress, hand-dyed by fashion designer Lyubov Aksenova for the famous performance Alla Pugacheva at the Sopot Festival;
- ball gown made of tulle and decorated with velvet ribbons, belonging to the legend of Soviet cinema Lydia Smirnova;
- crepe de chine dress with floral applique for the film "The right of the first signature" from the wardrobe of a famous actress Natalia Fateeva;
- original tunic made of indian poncho and skirt made of scabby actress Vii Artman.
The list of exhibits is really impressive - twenty dresses from the most beautiful women of the era.
