September 26–28, 2018 with the support of Soyuzlegprom in Ivanovo within the framework of the International Scientific and Industrial Forum SMARTEX for the first time will be held The All-Russian competition "LegpromNauka" and School of Young Scientists. Students and postgraduates, young specialists of textile and light industry enterprises under the age of 35 (inclusive) are invited to participate. The organizers aim to identify breakthrough technological ideas, involve young specialists in the processes of innovative development of the textile and light industry, preserve the continuity of generations and attract fresh young forces to science. Events are held by Ivanovo State Polytechnic University, Institute of Solution Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences named after G.A. Krestov and Research and Technology Center at Soyuzlegprom.

The contest was supported by The Russian Youth Union (Rosmolodezh), whose expert council recently approved the application of the Ivanovo Polytechnic University in the competition of youth socially significant projects. Rosmolodezh's business coaches will come to Ivanovo, where they will work with young scientists, students and graduates of universities.

The forum SMARTEX has been traditionally held for more than 20 years in the textile capital of Russia, the city of Ivanovo, where representatives of industry scientific schools from Russia and abroad gather every year. This year, two scientific sections will work at the forum, as well as a plenary session and a seminar-meeting on scientific, technological and personnel support of the industry with the participation of entrepreneurs and representatives of public authorities. The young engineers will be addressed by key developers and experts in the field of industry science and industrial production.

Directions of the competition: raw materials and materials; advanced manufacturing technologies; instruments and equipment; materials science; textile chemistry; nanotechnology; information systems and technologies; big data; robotics; textile design;fashion industry; bionics; ecology; marketing; logistics; retail.

Terms of the competition "LegpromNauka":

• to present your scientific and technological project/invention/research results in the form of an article in the collection of materials of the SMARTEX Forum and a report during the scientific session of the forum;
• take a one-day training course of the School of Young Scientists.

The competition committee of scientists and entrepreneurs will evaluate the originality of scientific and technical ideas and the commercial potential of the submitted projects. The winners will receive awards from the partners of the competition, internships at leading industry enterprises, mentoring support in further activities, publications in popular publications.

The awarding ceremony of the winners of the koknurs will take place on September 26 as part of the opening of the Forum SMARTEX.
