Valentino is looking for a new fashion maestro

On March 22, Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of the Valentino fashion house, announced his resignation. Over 25 years of painstaking work, the designer presented the brand with many collections that will forever go down in fashion history as something amazing.
On his Instagram page (banned in the Russian Federation; owned by the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia), Piccioli expressed gratitude to the Valentino team, in particular Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giametti, for the opportunity to share his exciting journey and his dreams with them.

After saying goodbye to Piccioli, the fashion house announced that it would skip the upcoming couture and men's fashion weeks, traditionally scheduled for June.
Currently, the Internet is actively discussing possible contenders for the role of the new chief maestro of Valentino, among them the ex-creative director of Gucci - Alessandro Michele; according to rumors, the Italian fashion brand is already negotiating a contract with him. However, there has not yet been an official statement from either side.
