The ROW/ pavilion of Russian design has opened in Gostiny Dvor
A concept pavilion dedicated to modern Russian design and art has opened in Moscow's Gostiny Dvor.
Nikita Lukinsky, a well-known designer, researcher of Russian visual and author of the Telegram channel "Unify the Soul", became the art director of the project. The organizer was Zaryadye Park.
Russian designers and artists who work with traditional Russian crafts (ancient Russian ornaments, toys, costumes) and aesthetics of the XX century (Russian avant—garde, Soviet architecture and branding).
Project objective:
- To show the world Russian design in all its diversity.
- To support designers who rethink and develop the cultural code of Russia.
- Create a space where people can get acquainted with the unique creations of Russian masters.
Nikita Lukinsky: "There are practically no such spaces. That's why my Telegram channel, where I talk about talented brands, went offline. We have opened a concept pavilion where designers can present their creativity.
Our task is to show designers who work with the Russian cultural code, rethink it. There are a lot of designs from Russia, but there is much less stylistically specific Russian design."
"ROW/" is a meeting place for everyone who is interested in Russian culture and design.
