The Heimtextil Russia exhibition was held in Moscow
The leading Russian exhibition for textile business professionals Heimtextil Russia was held from September 20 to 22 in Moscow, at the Crocus Expo IEC . During the three days of the exhibition, 247 international exhibitors were able to present their products to more than 17,800 professional visitors from different regions of Russia. The exhibition Heimtextil Russia 2017 has once again confirmed the status of the main business platform for professionals of the textile industry of the Russian market. It is here that buyers can find the latest collections of home and interior textiles of the highest quality from manufacturers and distributors from all over the world: bedroom textiles, kitchen textiles, bath textiles, curtain fabrics and accessories for window decoration, furniture fabrics and leather, floor coverings and carpets, sun protection systems.
This year the Heimtextil Russia exhibition was held in Moscow for the 19th time; the event was attended by the national pavilions of Germany, China, Turkey, Pakistan and Tajikistan. The National Pavilion of Tajikistan became the premiere of the exhibition: home textiles and luxurious handmade carpets were presented to the visitors.
Visitors were also able to see the latest collections of home and interior textiles from such foreign companies as Brinkhaus (Germany), Irisette (Germany), Hefel Textil (Austria), Safeco (France), Zermatex (Mexico), Kittrich Corporation (USA), Space Co (South Korea), Beta Weaving Factory (Thailand), Kanchi by Shobhna & Kunal Mehta (India) and many others. The participation in the exhibition of such companies as Gilan Textile Park (Azerbaijan), Sam Rafoat Tekstil (Uzbekistan), and the national pavilion of Tajikistan was an eloquent testimony to the revival of the textile industry in Central Asia. Among the Russian exhibiting companies can be noted Mercury Forge, «Eurotex», «Escar», «Chic: Curtains and Cornices», «Fabric Theater», «M-Tex» with the brand York, «Monolith », «DM Textile», La Prima with the brand Curt & Bauer and others. Also, major Russian manufacturers took part in this year's exhibition for the first time: «Trekhgornaya manufactory», Belashoff, «Sima-land».
In addition to traditional product groups, Heimtextil Russia 2017 also presented new special expositions:
- The Digital Technology exposition has become a separate product group of the exhibition this year. It includes such companies as Epson, NISSA Stensart, "Russian Graphics", Yuan Tai Printing and others;
- Textiles in the HoReCa industry with a full range of professional textiles for hotels and restaurants was widely presented in the assortment of many exhibitors Heimtextil Russia 2017;
- The wallpaper pavilion Wallpaper Bar presented various types of wallpaper and wall coverings;
- «Design laboratory» a separate exhibition for textile designers, where they could show their works and find a manufacturer to implement them;
- The Heimtextil Russia Design Academy with lectures, practical seminars and master classes from leading European and Russian designers and specialized universities attracted a large professional audience of designers and decorators. Dutch designer and founder of the trend bureau Stjilinstituut Amsterdam, Anna Maria Commander, acted as an invited guest of the business program and told the audience about the trends of Heimtextil 2017/18, which are considered the main reference point in the international interior textile industry.
Textile design – a new direction, actively developed at the exhibition Heimtextil Russia. Surface design and textile design in particular are one of the components of the production process in the textile industry. Today, the textile design industry in Russia is a young, developing direction. That is why it is so important to support its development in the Russian market and show its participants how this industry functions in the Western market. One of the key events of the business program Heimtextil Russia 2017 was a design competition for the best collection of textile prints. The winner of the contest was the artist Kirill Ovchinnikov, in January 2018 he will take part as an exhibitor at the international textile exhibition Heimtextil in Frankfurt. The competition will give an opportunity to bring the textile design industry in Russia to a new level.
The exhibition Heimtextil Russia 2017 demonstrated its high importance for the further growth and development of the professional textile industry in the Russian market.
The 20th anniversary exhibition Heimtextil Russia will be held on September 18–20, 2018 in Moscow, in the IEC «Crocus Expo».
