Chairman of SOYUZLEGPROm, Head of the RF CCI Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Textile and Light IndustryAndrey Razbrodin addressed the specialists gathered at the event and specifically to Alexey Abramov with a proposal to return to the consideration of the issue of developing a national standard for school uniforms and include this topic in the national standardization program for 2018.

In Russia, according to Rosstat, there are 14 millionschoolchildren, including 6.4 millionprimary school students. Recently, the interest of educational organizations and parents in school uniforms has been constantly growing. The share of this socially significant segment is increasingly significant in the total volume of production of light industry goods and requires its allocation to a special commodity subgroup from the general commodity group of children's clothing.

In accordance with the current national standards (GOST 25294 and 25295, 2003), the size characteristics of adolescents can reach up to 52 sizes, and adult men start from 42 sizes. Without allocation to a special group and special labeling, it is not possible to identify items in this size range, given that the mandatory requirements for the corresponding items for adults and children are different. Therefore, the introduction of a national standard for school uniforms is a necessity that life itself dictates to us. 

The absence of a national standard for school uniforms allows numerous intermediary trading organizations to use unconfirmed brands, samples, often imported, whose products often do not meet the requirements of TRTS007-2011 "On the safety of products intended for children and adolescents", which is confirmed by the results of the inspection Roskachestvo. And a school uniform is not a product that you can ignore the quality of.
