According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, for the period from January to November of this year the import of textiles and footwear in the Russian Federation increased by 3.9% year-on-year.

Purchases of chemical yarns increased by 30.6%, knitted fabrics by 27.1%, cotton by 21.2%, finished textiles by 7.5%, shoes by 4.1%, textile clothing by 2.3%, knitted clothing by 0.8%. At the same time, the import of textile materials decreased by 13.4%, chemical fibers by 0.4%.

In general, in January-November 2018, imports of goods to the Russian Federation from non-CIS countries increased by 6.1%. At the same time, in November 2018, the value volume of imports of goods from non-CIS countries amounted to 18 088.4 million dollars, having decreased by 3% compared to November 2017.
