Exclusive projects of Milano Unica

The opening of the 29th season of Milano Unica is approaching, wherecollections of high-end fabrics and accessories of the autumn-winter 2020/21 season will be presented. The focus will also be on the e-MilanoUnica marketplace An exclusive platform for doing business in the field of information commerce, designed for professionals in the sector of high-quality textile accessories. The platform was launched in a pilot version in February of this year, and in July it will be presented in a new version ofMU Cinema. The MU Sustainable Innovation project, combining the best product offerings from environmentally friendly materials and processes, is developing together with the area dedicated to MU Tendenze, this time inspired by the theme Ecorotica. The MU Synthesis panels, assembled and presented with impressive visual effects developed by the participating companies, will provide visitors with an overview of the most representative samples of each exhibitor.

 

 

Visitors to the July season will have access to new content presented along a stimulating and clearly formulated route, structured in such a way as to give new creative inspiration and suggestions to fashion industry operators. This year, all new products will be presented in two zonesMU Special Contents and MU Special Areas.

 

MU Special Contents

 

  • Linen Dream Lab from Celc (Pav.16) is a space dedicated to flax, a unique European creative and innovative green fiber and its labels MASTERS LINEN® (100% made in Europe) and EUROPEAN FLAX® (the European origin of the fiber). A journey through 4 seasons of linen novelties. Platform for services, marketing and promotion: AMO IL LINO retail partnership and search for its market;
  • Woolmark (pav. 12–20) – an area dedicated to the most innovative and avant-garde wool fabrics: from the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team uniform, for which Woolmark is a technical partner, to The Wool Lab autumn-winter 2020/21;
  • SMI –Sistema Moda Italia (pav. 16), is the largest industry organization of the textile and fashion industry in Western markets, whose mission is to protect and promote the interests of the sector and promote relations with institutions and economic and political organizations. Providing support to companies that intend to expand worldwide;
  • The Ministry of Economic Development,the Office for Combating Counterfeit Products(pav. 16) is present for the first time in Milano Unica with a special stand to promote and protect industrial and intellectual property rights through special training events and dissemination;ministerial information for participants and visitors;
  • Milan Polytechnic Institute (pav. 12) will be presented with an exclusive project called "Fashion and Uniform: Historical and Other Inspiration", dedicated to iconic and versatile clothing presented in the most classic and traditional forms, as well as in a more extravagant form, focused on ready-to-wear;
  • Banca Sella (pav. 20) traditionally offers successful innovative financial, banking and insurance solutions. A special space for getting acquainted with the new training program "Digital Innovation Program".

MU Special Areas

 

  • The Japanese Observatory (pav. 12), organized by JFW and JETRO, brings together more than 30 exhibitors selected from the best manufacturers of this country;
  • The Korean Observatory (pav. 16), curated by KOTRA and KTTA, gathers 20 exhibitors selected from the most innovative and representative textile companies in the country;
  • Origin Passion and Beliefs (pav. 8) is an Italian production exhibition, an exclusive place where you can meet with companies specializing in subcontracting supplies and providing quality services for international fashion brands.
  • Filo (pav.8) is devoted to the trends in the development of the textile industry, indicating the fundamental connection between high-quality yarn and high-quality fabrics;
  • MU Info & Style, designed for business services, and MU Trade Press (pav. 8), offering information about the latest trends in international fashion with a wide selection of books, industry magazines and models;
  • MU Vintage (pav. 12) is designed for clothing, accessories, jewelry and other items from vintage fashion collections;
  • MU Designers (pav. 12) is dedicated to textile designers, artists who contribute to the support of the fashion system with their unwavering commitment to innovation and the search for beauty.
