The Foresight camp, held from August 22 to 27 in Ples, under the patronage of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and with the support of the Government of the Ivanovo Region, brought together leading industry experts and world-renowned experts to discuss the future of the Russian fashion industry in the long term. Following the results of the event, the manifesto of the participants of the first Russian industry Foresight camp "FashionNet" was adopted. Creative Industries of the ICF-2021".
The participants called their mission the search for ideas and meanings that will become the basis of the country's technological breakthrough in the conditions of a change in the economic structure and ensure the competitiveness of the domestic economy. Openness, willingness to cooperate and responsibility for the results of their activities were recognized as the main values.
Tomorrow, the fashion industry market, like other markets, will turn into a figure by 90%, the user will make radically different requirements for the product and the speed of its receipt, the manifesto says. The world of the future will shift the focus of the market to custom design and the exclusive semantic role of brand designers. Production will be transformed into a single or small-scale production based on IT solutions and virtual culture, which will lead to a radical change in the coordinate system.
The projects proposed during the Foresight Camp work at different levels, from regional to global, and are addressed to a wide range of subjects. The state authorities are tasked with improving the regulatory framework and creating a comfortable jurisdiction for business development in the logic of FashionNet. It is important for the business community to reach agreements between entrepreneurs, to include a wide range of interested businesses in the creation of IT platform solutions, the transformation of offline trading and the transition of business to the Internet, as well as much more. The projects affect both educational and scientific organizations, the media, and designers.
