Gloria Jeans may enter the home goods market

Russian Gloria Jeans, following the example of Western clothing retailers ZARA and H&M, may launch a chain of stores selling household goods, reports «b».

 

The founder of Gloria Jeans Vladimir Melnikov confirmed that the idea of creating such a network really exists, but so far without any specifics.

 

 

Experts believe that the time to enter the new format of stores is well chosen, as the Russian market of home and interior goods has returned to growth. The company's entry into this segment will not entail additional costs either in production, logistics, or IT. They note that, in comparison with the European, the Russian market of household goods is far from saturation and is represented mainly by international players.
