FASHION HOUSE Outlet Centre Moscow summed up the results of work in 2018 and in the first quarter of 2019. Owned by FASHION HOUSE Group , the outlet continues to demonstrate good growth dynamics in retail sales, attendance and conversion. The center's tenant pool is growing due to new brands.
Retail sales in FASHION HOUSE Outlet Centre Moscow in 2018 increased by 13.6% compared to the previous year. The beginning of 2019 was also successful: in the first quarter, sales increased by 20% compared to the same period in 2018. The outlet is becoming increasingly popular with visitors: the attendance rate increased by 6% compared to last year. At the same time, the share of visitors shopping at the mall (conversion rate) increased by 10% in 2018 and reached 78%. The average cost per customer increased by 7%.
The increase in indicators was the result of the continuous improvement of the premium offer for outlet visitors. Last year, 20 new retailers joined the pool of tenants of FASHION HOUSE Outlet Centre Moscow , including the multi-brand store Trendzone, Triumph, Coccodrillo, LUSIO, Glenfield, Milavitsa. Since the beginning of 2019, four more tenants have signed new agreements with the center.
Comments Brandon O'Reilly, Managing Director of FASHION HOUSE Group: "The results show that visitors began to shop more often and spend more. We expect that an increase in VAT to 20% from January 1, 2019 will make the outlet sector even more attractive to buyers in Moscow and the suburbs. We are satisfied with the growth in sales, attendance and conversions. Good results help attract new tenants. It is obvious that the demand for high-quality outlet centers, similar to those that FASHION HOUSE Group brings to the market, is growing. That is why we decided to increase our presence in the Russian and Romanian markets, where our centers already operate. We will definitely meet the expectations of buyers and retailers interested in the work of outlets. Our next step is the opening of the FASHION HOUSE Outlet Centre St Petersburg, which will accommodate 120 shops and restaurants under one roof. The location, large parking, brand quality, wide offer and high standards of service will attract both residents of the region and tourists.
