Familia – results of the first half of 2018
Retailer off-price Familia announced operating results for the first half of 2018. Compared to the same period last year, revenue growth was 28%, and the growth of the network in six months was more than 10%.
During this time, the company has opened 22 new stores in 15 cities of Russia, including in new territories for itself. The total number of department stores Familia at the end of the period was 214. The total area of stores increased by almost 30 thousand square meters and reached 280 thousand square meters. m. The most active development took place in Siberia. Here, the company opened five new stores in six months in cities such as Barnaul, Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo and increased the number of department stores in Novosibirsk. Familia also appeared in Arkhangelsk. In Moscow, Familia has opened 9 new department stores, bringing the total number of outlets to 83. By the end of the year Familia expects to maintain growth rates and open at least 20 more stores, including in Nizhnevartovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tuapse, Stary Oskol.
In six months, the number of companies –suppliers of Familia has increased by more than 300. In April 2018, Familia launched the project Gold Brands. In the stores of the chain, there are special zones – corners, where exclusively premium brands are represented. Such brands as Bugatti, Harmont&Blaine, Laura Biagiot, Mascote, Tosca Blu, Wrangler and others are represented here.
In addition, Familia has received a patent for its own development of a technology for identifying and distributing goods in a warehouse, which allows identifying goods within two seconds, analyzing information about it, determining the store where the potential speed of its implementation is the highest, as well as labeling. ID technology has made it possible to increase the processing speed of goods tenfold and the accuracy of getting to the needs of stores.
