Tom Tailor – half-year results
Tom Tailor Group announced the financial results of the company's activities for the first half of 2018.
In the first 6 months of this year, the revenues of Tom Tailor Group brands worldwide increased by 1.2% (up to 277.8 million euros). Gross profit increased by 4.3% (to 60.8%).
The Russian market is one of the key ones within the Tom Tailor group. The company continues its rapid expansion in Russia in accordance with its strategy. In the first half of the year, Tom Tailor opened 9 new stores of its own retail. A noticeable strengthening of positions affected Siberia and the Urals, where 6 new stores were opened (in Novosibirsk, Omsk, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Tyumen). In addition, 2 new stores were opened in Moscow.
Sales in Russian own retail stores in the second quarter of 2018 showed a significant increase in LFL, improving the dynamics of the first quarter. This allowed us to bring the overall results of the retail network for LFL to the planned increase.
In addition to its own retail, the company is actively developing a franchise business. During the first half of the year, 7 franchise stores were opened (in Samara, Bryansk, Syktyvkar, Vladikavkaz, Kropotkin, Taganrog, Novorossiysk). Thus, the total number of Tom Tailor stores is now 128, of which –57 own retail (in 17 cities across Russia) and 71 franchised (in 62 cities of Russia and the CIS).
