Copenhagen sets eco-trends
Fashion Week in the capital of Denmark rightfully claims to be one of the main Fashion Weeks in the world after Paris, Milan, London and New York. The organizers, following the example of Chanel, Burberry, London Fashion Week, as well as smaller regional fashion weeks in Melbourne, Helsinki and Stockholm, took a step towards meeting the progressive fashion industry, paying attention to the environmental agenda.
Starting in 2025, designers who use fur, exotic leather and feathers in their collections will not be allowed to show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. In addition, participating brands are committed to using environmentally friendly, recyclable materials to a greater extent.

Of course, the organizers of Copenhagen Fashion Week understand that abandoning traditional materials will significantly complicate the work of fashion houses, and therefore they are ready to express their support. The other day, the executive director of Fashion Week, Cecile Thorsmark, made a statement in which she emphasized her readiness to provide financial and informational assistance to designers.
We can already safely say that Fashion week 2025 in Denmark will be a truly sensational event: Copenhagen is the first to introduce such broad restrictions on non-ecological textiles.
