Adidas on guard of user safety

On June 28, the official website of the brand adidas published a warning for buyers who purchased goods on the American brand website about a possible leak of personal data. On June 26, adidas it became known that an unauthorized company claims to have received some data from a part of the brand's consumer base. 



At , adidas always strives to ensure the confidentiality and security of its consumers' personal data. Therefore, the company immediately started taking measures to determine the scope of the problem and warn the relevant consumers. adidas cooperates with leading data protection firms and law enforcement agencies to investigate the incident.


According to preliminary findings, the limited data includes contact information, usernames and encrypted passwords. The official release reports that adidas has no reason to believe that there was a leak related to the financial data of buyers: card numbers and purchase amounts were not available to attackers. But nevertheless,adidas continues a thorough forensic examination and will definitely inform users about the results of the check.
