ADG group at MAPIC 2017

From November 15 to 17 in Cannes hosted the international exhibition of commercial real estate MAPIC 2017, which annually gathers more than 8,000 participants from 78 countries of the world. ADG group presented to foreign retailers the largest project in Moscow - 39 district centers located in densely populated areas of the capital.

ADGgroup took part in MAPIC for the second time. Last year, for the first time, the company presented to foreign retailers the concept of a network of district centers of a new class of commercial real estate. A unified network of facilities throughout Moscow, a unique approach to filling, direct access to 2.5 million Muscovites living within walking distance, a flexible mix of shopping formats, high-quality personalized communications - all this together not only provides new effective opportunities for sales growth and revenue increase for tenants, but also allows you to take a significant share in Moscow market. The first district centers will open at the end of 2018, the rest during 2019. The anchor tenants of the entire chain were supermarkets «Lenta» and the fifth cinema chain in the world CJ CGV. The joint venture of ADG group and South Korean cinematographer CJ CGV will develop a unique concept of film screening in Russia and lease space for 160 cinemas in 33 district centers for 15 years.

This year, one of the key topics of the business program MAPIC 2017 was Russia. Experts of the session «Opening the Russian retail», among whom was Grigory Pechersky, Managing partner of ADG group, discussed key trends in the development of the Russian market, presented local projects and new opportunities for foreign retailers, assessed the advantages and disadvantages of a market entry strategy in partnership with a local player. Experts agreed that a strong team with extensive local expertise plays a key role in the successful development of a foreign brand on the Russian market. To succeed, brands need to adapt to the Russian market: it is important to customize your product and reconsider the approach to service.

«For us MAPIC This is the main platform for negotiations with international retailers and brands. The network of district centers ADG group gives tenants a unique opportunity to get a significant share of the Moscow market in one transaction, which, in turn, opens the way for further expansion into the regions of Russia. The reconstruction of the facilities has begun, the anchor tenants have been signed – the project has entered the active phase, and therefore at MAPIC 2017 We focused on discussing the specific terms of partnership with both Russian and foreign retailers.
