Uzbekistan is increasing its share in the import of goods in the Russian clothing market

According to the marking system "Honest Sign" Uzbekistan has significantly increased the volume of supplies to the Russian light industry market. At the moment, the products produced in this country account for 40% of the total imported volume of light industry in the Russian Federation.

During the period from January to April, Uzbekistan imported products worth 8.5 billion dollars with an annual growth of 9%. Now the supplies of the Central Asian country cover 61% of the domestic light industry market, almost 25% of the shoe segment and 54% in the perfumery sector.

Andrey Kirillov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CRPT TURON, highlighted the transformation of the market and its whitewashing as the main reason for the current trend. According to Kirilov, Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its presence in the Russian market by supplying high-quality products, which, of course, contributes to the development of economic ties between the countries.
