Its geographical location is very convenient in terms of transport accessibility. It is located at a distance of 300 km from Beijing, 350 km from the port of Tianjin and 300 km from the Eren-Hoto checkpoint, near the border with Mongolia and the provinces of Shanxi and Hebei.

It is a strategically important city for the Chinese government's regional development program "One Belt, One Road". It is located in the steppe of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, where the steppe beginning of the Great Silk Road was once located, in a place where east and west and north and south connect, and the development of this region is of great importance for the northern part of China.

It was here that representatives of large retail chains and small enterprises of the fashion industry, members of government organizations and mass media from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Belarus, Ukraine and other countries gathered to take part in an international forum dedicated to the development of Ulanchab, the fashion and creative capital, as well as to participate in a solemn ceremony The opening of the shopping center "New Yabaolu".

The construction of the New Yabaolu shopping complex, located in Ulanchab, Jining District, began four years ago. This is part of the Chinese government's big plan to organize a new complex for the production and sale of light industry products at the crossroads of ancient caravan routes. The construction of the complex is in several stages. The first few buildings of the huge shopping city have already been built and representatives of manufacturers of fur, leather and insulated outerwear, shoes and accessories who previously sold their products on the Beijing Yabaolu shopping street (it stopped working at the beginning of 2017) have moved here. The total investment in the project to date has amounted to 2.5 billion yuan, and the building area at the end of construction will be 500 thousand m2.

The complex is designed as an optimal model for the integration of production, sales, e-commerce and all the functions necessary to ensure these processes. In addition to the goods from the closed Yabalou, the products of other light industry enterprises of China focused on the foreign market will be presented here. The new complex is waiting for partners from Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and from more than 30 countries of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and even North Africa.

Being a key project of the government of the country, the New Yabaolu shopping complex operates in a simplified customs regime, has benefits for customs storage and refund of export taxes. Comprehensive service programs for entrepreneurs are provided, comfortable hotels and all necessary infrastructure are built. The project was implemented based on the regional advantages of the city of Ulanchab, its connection with the northern, north-eastern and north-western regions of China, as well as a developed transport system of high-speed highways, international railways and air corridors. The construction of the high-speed railway and the re-equipment of the Jining International Airport is coming to an end, from where direct flights to Ulaanbaatar, Ngari, Almaty and Dzamyn-Ude are already flying. 

All this makes it possible to fully appreciate the advantages of leather and fur processing, leather goods production in the city of Ulanchab. Thanks to the convenient design of the shopping complex, the unification of industries and professional branding, all conditions are created for the development of China's light industry, improving product quality and the emergence of new brands. All this forms a new basis for the foreign trade in clothing, which is sure to gain worldwide importance in the fashion industry.

The opening ceremony of the shopping complex "New Yabaolu" began on November 18 at exactly 11:18 a.m. At the same time, journalists and buyers traveling to the event saw a real concert program of Chinese folk groups: a performance of drummers and dancing with dragons. The vocal and instrumental group performed several songs in Russian and English. Then representatives of the Communist Party of China and other officials spoke. There was something surprisingly touching and nostalgic about everything that was happening. Don't forget, Ulanchab is a province. Until recently there was a small town here, and now modern buildings and hotels, a stadium have been built here, beautiful parks have been laid out, but residential quarters are still being built. Looking at the Chinese, you realize that in four years there will be a garden city here. Yes, they don't look like metropolitan residents here, but they learn quickly, try very hard and will achieve everything.
