On March 20, the Expocentre Fairgrounds on Krasnaya Presnya will host the official opening of the Russian Textile and Light Industry Week 2018, the main annual industry congress and exhibition event in Russia.

The opening will begin at 12:00, in the "Blue Hall" (Pavilion No. 2, Expocentre Fairgrounds) and will be held in a solemn atmosphere in the presence of honored guests and representatives of leading domestic and foreign textile and light industry companies, experts, analysts, and the media.

The opening of the "Light Industry Week-2018" will be attended by: Viktor Yevtukhov State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; Sergey Katyrin President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Week; Roman Petrutsa Chairman of the Industry Development Fund; Tatiana Golendeeva – First Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service; Valentin Yudashkin – fashion designer; Alexander Torshin State Secretary, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

As part of the opening ceremony, the winners of Russia's first professional textile competition Textile Design Talents will be awarded, organized on the initiative of Solstudio Textile Design and Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs (SOYUZLEGPROM) with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

Immediately after the official opening, a plenary session will be held: "Domestic Light Industry-2018. Reboot: from stimulation and support to sustainable development, which will consist of two parts.

Before the beginning of the plenary session, at 11:30, a press approach for media representatives will be held in the lobby of the "Blue Hall" of the Expocentre.

The event is held with the official support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
