Russian folk crafts in Europe
From April 27 to May 8, the Foire de Paris , the largest trade fair among European shopping and entertainment events, will be open. The total area of the exhibition pavilions of the exhibition is more than 200 thousand square meters, the number of participants is estimated in thousands, and the number of visitors in some years reaches up to a million. The sale of goods is allowed during the entire time of the fair.

The Foire de Paris will feature the largest Russian collective exhibition in previous years with original products of the enterprises of folk arts and crafts of the country. It will be located on an area of 96 sq. m in the most visited pavilion No. 4, in the section "Goods from all over the world". The exposition will show the crafts of various Russian regions: Moscow, Leningrad, Vladimir, Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

11 Russian participants – manufacturing medium and small enterprises: «Sakha Taas», «Trading Company «Evis», «Martha and Madonna», «Trading House Semenovskaya painting», «Jane Doe», «Gallard» and others will present a variety of genres and directions of art and folk art. Glass products will be presented: vases, candles, pots, souvenirs, gifts, baskets; tableware, ceramic panels, paintings in the batik technique; clothing, accessories, hats; jewelry and costume jewelry; souvenirs made of wood, dolls; stone-cutting souvenirs, paintings made of gems, fur souvenirs, carved miniatures from mammoth bone; hand and foot skin care items, cosmetic products, forged products, other folk art crafts. The products of Russian manufacturers combine national traditions and modernity and can become a stylish decoration for any home.

A unified design of the Russian stand has been developed. The exhibition space will combine the products of various enterprises of folk art crafts, traditions and modern style, will present an exquisite combination of materials and paints.
The stands of folk crafts of Russia are organized within the framework of a special support program The Russian Export Center, which implies compensation of part of the exporters' costs for exhibition and fair activities. The operator of the united Russian exposition is JSC «EXPOCENTRE».

The main purpose of participation in the exhibition is the exposure of Russian exporters to establish new and develop existing business contacts with potential buyers from Western Europe and French-speaking African countries. The Russian exposition should become an effective zone that promotes cooperation between Russian companies with foreign partners, investors, the professional community and the development of folk arts and crafts of the country as a whole. The exhibition is aimed at popularization and promotion of folk art crafts in the foreign market, integration of products of the industry enterprises and Russian traditions into modern world fashion and culture.

The participants of the Russian exposition will be able to get acquainted with the experience of foreign companies in creating commercially attractive products, marketing technologies for building an effective business, the use of modern tools will contribute to the growth of production. The fair will also become an important platform for determining the activities of enterprises and the assortment, taking into account the consumer interest of foreign countries.
In his address to the visitors of the fair, Chairman of the Board of the Association "Folk Arts and Crafts of Russia", member of the Government Commission on State Cultural Policy, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts G.A. Drozhzhin stressed: "I am convinced that the fair will fully meet the expectations of the discerning French public, will become an unforgettable holiday and for the audience, and for the participants of the exhibition, it will contribute to the expansion of both economic and spiritual, cultural and human contacts.
