Fashion Ambassador to South Africa: Quena Baloyi

Quena Baloyi gives interviews and writes about fashion herself, maintains several pages on style and taste development in Instagram, cooperates with such a giant as Dove. She became the laureate of 2018 and fashion ambassador in South Africa from the magazine Marie Claire. The magazine VOGUE Italy enthusiastically published photos of Quena defiling in men's clothing at men's fashion shows in Milan. Quena made herself. And the world noticed it and appreciated it at the highest level.

Getting into for the first time Johannesburg from her village, the girl curiously examined the fashionably dressed townspeople and, after throwing questions at her uncles, found out one thing: fashion is not only important in moving up,fashion loves those who worship it and interpret it. Having started several blogs on Instagram, Quenabegan to tell girls from southern Africa about trends in fashion, about how to care for hair. The first bright success came to the blogger when she decided to interpret classic African hairstyles to the new world of European fashion for them. Funny dreadlocks, forelocks and pigtails phantasmagoric shapes and colors blew up the Internet, and the next morning Quena woke up a celebrity.

Today, the companyDove conducts negotiations and consultations with her to build its sales system for hair care products. Quena was one of the first in Africa to appeal to women not to apply so much chemistry to their hair, because they simply can't stand it and fall out. Also Quena has become one of the curators of South African culture, and her presence at any events related to fashion is noticeable throughout the continent: from Nairobi to Cape Town, from Johannesburg to Dakkar, from Marrakech to Kigali.

"Clothes can change your outlook on life, your mood. Beautiful clothes are not just clothes. You can create your own style and win the battle with fashion and the rich. My uncles were the first to explain the rules of style to me: clean shoes, good glasses and watches, ironed washed clothes. The real style consists of little things.

Invent new hairstyles and wear jewelry in a new way Quena was forced by a case: her mother was fired for an African hairstyle, first telling her to either shave her head or cover it with a handkerchief. After that Quena began to exhibit in social networks a variety of hairstyles for African women and announced a protest against those who are fighting with beautiful and long hair.

"I feel like this is my goal. If what I'm doing is helping other women, I'm not going to stop. If, seeing me and my style, my appearance, you also fight and win the battles for fashion and style, this movement will become common for our African beauties.

Now she advises the first ladies of the African continent, who, preparing for visits to Europe and USA, discuss with Quenoy hairstyles and jewelry. Becoming one of the gurus of the now fashionable Afropank, Quena has already gone beyond one style and promotes African culture in the Western world.
