Parallel program BRICS+ Fashion Summit
The BRICS+ Fashion Summit program is expanding and announces additional events as part of a parallel program for everyone interested in fashion. From November 28 to December 2, Summit guests will be able to attend lectures, special screenings, workshops, themed shops and a sustainable exhibition.
From November 28 to 30, an exhibition of ECOFUTURUM video installations dedicated to sustainable development will be open for visitors of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit business program. The fashion industry is responsible for 10% of emissions into the atmosphere, the main problem is the lack of recycling and excessive consumption. Only 1% of textile products are processed. No one knows exactly how many things are produced in the world, but according to the UN, the figure can reach 150 billion units a year, two-thirds of which end up in a landfill in the first two years. The exposition consists of mirrored columns – a maze through which you have to go to learn more about how the global fashion industry affects the world around you - both people and entire countries. ECOFUTURUM consists of three parts: the outer ring of the installation demonstrates works from the project Garbage Realism, created from household garbage based on the art masterpieces of Leonardo Da Vinci, Edvard Munch, Gustav Klimt, etc. Inner Ring – works on the theme of fashion and responsibility by contemporary digital artists from Qatar, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, Mexico, Ireland, Australia and the UK. In the middle there are boxes for collecting unnecessary things and plastic projects "Good things" and "It's easy to hand over things" (Moscow), Ecobrands (St. Petersburg / Vologda), "Zeler" (Ivanovo). The installation shows how attentive they are to environmental problems not only in the capital, but also in the regions of Russia. Each participant of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit will be able to make their personal contribution to sustainable development if they bring old things and recycle them right at the summit. The curator of ECOFUTURUM is Ulyana Belova.

Registration for the business program is open on the official website of the event https://fashionsummit.org /, as well as in the Fashion Summit App, which is available in the Google Play and Apple Store app stores.
