Shoes, outerwear and workwear will be marked
A press conference dedicated to the VI International Forum "Anti-Counterfeit-2018" was held in Moscow, which will be held in Moscow on November 19– 21, 2018. It was attended by In. Yevtukhov, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the State Commission for Combating Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products;Maxim Protasov, head of Roskachestvo; Galiya Dzholdybayeva, Director of the Business Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission; Artem Selyansky, Head of the implementation of the drug monitoring system STADA CIS; Aslambek Aslakhanov, President of the International Association "Anti-counterfeit"; Revaz Yusupov, Deputy General Director of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade studied the market of counterfeit products and came to the conclusion that it is necessary to label products, including light industry goods. This was stated by the Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry during a press conference Viktor Yevtukhov.
"We plan to introduce labeling of work clothes, outerwear of different assortment, toilet water. This is all within the framework of the experiment, " said Evtukhov. He stressed that The Ministry of Industry and Trade considers labeling an effective measure in the fight against illegal trafficking of goods.
Previously, the new product labeling system has already been tested on fur products. From April 1, 2016, it became mandatory for all manufacturers in the territory of the Russian Federation and from August 12 for the countries of the EAEU . However, with an increase in the number of declared products, their price has also increased. In addition, as the deputy minister himself stated, it was much easier to carry out the labeling of fur products, since this market is not so extensive.
It was also said about the reasons for such a large number of counterfeit products on the Russian market.
«42% of citizens of different ages and income levels buy counterfeit goods only because of its low price. Unfortunately, consumers often make their choice without always thinking about the quality of the goods, the products they buy. Especially if the products are offered at prices lower than they actually should cost," summed up Viktor Yevtukhov.
