New projects and successes of MosShoes

From September 10 to 13, 2018, the exhibition MosShoes was held in Moscow The largest event of the leather and shoe industry in Russia, which demonstrated the current state of the market, outlined the prospects for its development and current trends.

Every season the exhibition attracts an increasing number of Russian and foreign participants. This time, more than 600 exhibitors gathered at the Crocus Expo IEC, who presented about 1,000 brands from 30 countries of the world. Compared to the March session, the number of visitors increased by 11.4% and amounted to 12,136 people.

It is not the first year that the growth of exhibitors from European countries has been noted. Visitors of the exhibition could get acquainted with the collections of such famous brands as Pikolinos (Spain), Barker (Great Britain), Bartek (Poland), Democrata (Brazil), Ugg Australia (Australia), Walkys (Portugal), Primigi (Italy) and many others.

National expositions of Germany, India, China, Armenia and Uzbekistan have already become traditional. Having appreciated the advantages of such a format, this year they were joined by Spain and Brazil, presenting products within the framework of collective expositions. This gives participating companies a number of advantages and additional tools to promote their brands and organize effective interaction with potential buyers during the exhibition.

Four days of fruitful work and communication of exhibitors with existing and potential customers of the exhibition showed that the format of the event, where all segments of the leather and shoe industry are simultaneously represented, is convenient for buyers and allows them to see products of interest in different categories.

There was an increase in the interest of visitors to the exhibition "Leather and accessories", which unites manufacturers of leather, accessories and equipment for the production of shoes and leather products. In September, more than 80 companies took part in the exhibition, including Russian companies such as Russian Leather, Verkhnevolzhsky Tannery, Taldom Fur Factory, Markovich Company, Gramos and many others.

The segment of companies representing equipment has significantly expanded. At the exhibition, it was possible to communicate with representatives of the companies Desma (Germany), Kenda Farben (Italy), Corplast (Italy), Celme (Spain), Teseo (Italy), Wintech (Italy), as well as others.

One of the successful projects of the MosShoes exhibition was the buyer program. Its participants had the opportunity, with the assistance of the organizers of the exhibition, to schedule meetings in advance with representatives of the networks of interest and receive feedback on their products.

From exhibition to exhibition, there is an expansion of the exposition of children's and adolescent shoes MosShoes Kids'. In September, more than 100 companies presented their products, increasing the March figures by 17.4%, while 28 companies participated in the exhibition for the first time.

For the first time, the trend zone MS Fashion worked at the exhibition. Within the framework of the project, 5 key trends of the autumn-winter season were presented'19–20, designed to help buyers navigate consumer preferences and global trends when planning purchases.

The business program of the exhibition was traditionally rich, and everyone was able to find something useful for themselves. Most of the speakers touched upon topical issues of improving the efficiency of work in retail both from the point of view of marketing activities and merchandising, and from the point of view of personnel management.

Another landmark event confirming the international scale of the exhibition was Forum of Leather and shoe Associations "Creating conditions and promoting equal competition", organized by MosShoes together with The Russian Union of Tanners and Shoemakerss. During the event, such issues as customs and tariff duties in importing countries and Russia, the influence of associations and unions on the development of fair competition, as well as improving the efficiency of interaction between market participants to achieve equal competition were discussed.

For more than 20 years, MosShoes has remained a key professional event in the industry, uniting all market players. The next seasonal exhibition will be held from March 12 to 15, 2019 and promises to be no less intense and will allow visitors to see the full picture of the market and learn about the latest trends and tools for effective work.
