On April 25, a meeting was held The Board of the Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs (SOYUZLEGPROM), at which the acute issues and problems of the industry were discussed.

The following issues were announced for discussion on the agenda of the meeting:

• About financial support of light industry organizations implementing a corporate program to improve competitiveness;
• About the current situation in the industry;
• On the convocation of the next General Meeting of the members of the Union;    
• On the preliminary approval of the annual report and the annual balance sheet for 2018;
• On the approval of candidates for members of the Management Board;       
• On the admission of new members to the Union.

In the opening remarks President of SOYUZLEGPROmAndrey Razbrodinand Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, member of the Board of SOYUZLEGPROm Dmitry Kurochkinnoted that thanks to joint efforts Chambers and The Union manages to successfully promote initiatives to preserve state support for the industry, protect the market from unfair competition, and further develop a dialogue between the state and business.But the current financial and economic situation requires greater consolidation of business structures and industry unions. In order to solve a number of topical issues of the industry more quickly and to achieve the preservation of existing support measures.
