MIPIM-2018 through the eyes of a participant
This year, the company RRG took part in the international real estate exhibition MIPIM, which took place from March 14 to March 16 in Cannes. Chairman of the Board of Directors of RRG Denis Kolokolnikov shared his impression of the exhibition.
This year, the MIPIM exhibition was small in terms of the number of Russian participants. Only five Russian stands were presented at the site, but at the same time, it was there that the business activity of the exhibition was concentrated. Business events organized by the leading federal publications: RBC, Kommersant, Vedomosti were held non-stop at the stands of the governments of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Denis Kolokolnikov also took part in these events.
On March 14, at the stand of the Government of St. Petersburg, a session of the newspaper "Vedomosti" "Roads for investment" was held, at which Denis spoke about the need and attractiveness of TPU, about the optimal share of commercial space in the TPU, about new formats real estate that will complement the road transport infrastructure. In addition, the company RRG organized and held its own event at the stand of the Government of Moscow ""New formats of development projects. The solution of generation 3.0". Here, the participants discussed current development formats, the synergy of retail, residential and public spaces, as well as a new direction in development Development 3.0.
Traditional Russian Breakfast at MIPIM, organized by the Imprint Media, this year offered the participants of the exhibition an unusual format - YourTurn. Everyone present was an active participant in the process, getting involved in the creation of a single mechanism designed to help find answers to the most relevant questions for the market. Denis Kolokolnikov was a member of the jury of the event.
On the last day of the exhibition, the MIPIM Awards award ceremony was held, the shortlist of which included two Russian projects "Zaryadye Park" and "Luzhniki Stadium" in the nominations dedicated to redevelopment projects: "The best Urban Regeneration Project» and « The best renovated building » respectively. However, the awards were given to the Italian project Porta Nuova in Milan and the port of Antwerp, which Zaha Hadid worked on. As part of the project, the former building of the fire station, over which a futuristic tower was built, turned into the headquarters of the port.
"In general, an active working atmosphere prevailed at the exhibition, although there was a low activity of Russian participants. Probably, the upcoming elections, and low investment activity also affected, but in general, I consider this exhibition productive. We have held a number of meetings, including with developers and investors who can grow into interesting projects," said Denis Kolokolnikov.
