Fur under arrest
The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being (Rospotrebnadzor) continues to ensure, within the established powers, control over the turnover of sewing fur products on the territory of the Russian Federation according to the heading "Garments, clothing accessories and other products" from natural fur", in respect of which a decision has been made to label with control (identification) signs.
As of December of this year, Rospotrebnadzor specialists in 60 subjects of the Russian Federation arrested a total of more than 10 thousand units of fur products that were in circulation in violation of mandatory labeling requirements. The total cost of the products amounted to more than 500 million rubles. The materials were submitted to the court for a decision on confiscation.
In addition, the materials of 10 cases have been sent to law enforcement agencies to resolve the issue of initiating criminal cases.
