Marc Jacobs has abandoned the skin of exotic animals

The environmental agenda has long been hanging over the fashion industry, which actively uses the skin of wild animals to create garments. Every year, the number of brands deliberately abandoning animal materials increases. Marc Jacobs joined him the other day.

Based on information on the website of the PETA animal protection organization, the fashion house refused to use the skin of reptiles and ostriches as materials for its collections. This decision was made after the publication of revelatory materials documenting the terrible conditions of keeping reptiles and other animals awaiting death from electric shock, beating with batons or flaying alive.

PETA welcomes Marc Jacobs' compassionate decision:

"We thank Marc Jacobs for the ethical decision to ban the use of crocodile, lizard, ostrich, snake and other wildlife skins in his collections. PETA applauds the designer and invites brands from all over the world to follow his example," said Laura Shields, director of the organization.
