On November 10, 2017, on the eve of the opening of the exhibition JUNWEX Premium, a round table meeting on the implementation of the export potential of the Russian jewelry industry was held at the World Trade Center, reports Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The organizers of the event were Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, JSC «Russian Export Center», Moscow International Trade Center, association «Guild of Jewelers of Russia» and Club «Russian jewelry trade».
The first issue discussed during the meeting was the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of development of the export potential of the jewelry industry. The discussion was attended by the Deputy Director of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials, Semyon Mashkautsan, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Federal Customs Service.
Further, the participants of the meeting discussed the state of sales markets, measures of state support for the export of non-primary goods in Russia, opportunities and conditions for the participation of jewelry companies in the program "MadeinRussia", a unified concept of the exhibition program for the jewelry industry.
The results of the event were summed up by the Chairman of the Council of the Association "Guild of Jewelers of Russia", Gagik Gevorgyan. He stressed that in the roadmap it is important to determine the criteria for selecting companies that will receive state support.
At the end of the round table meeting, the grand opening of the JUNWEX Premium exhibition took place, within the framework of which the Carl Faberge competition is being held. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Sergey Tsyb, Director General of the World Trade Center, Vladimir Strashko, President of the World Confederation of Jewelers (CIBJO), Gaetano Cavalieri, and others. They examined the expositions, evaluating the presented works of jewelry companies: "Argentina", Gevorkyan Fine Jewelry, ART I FACT, Anna Nova, "Diamonds of Yakutia", Albert and many others.
The premium segment has good prospects in terms of export potential, requires active participation in international exhibitions and projects. One of such projects is the initiative of the Carl Faberge Jewelry Art Contest, which will allow presenting the achievements of modern jewelry art at the international level. "The exhibition-competition" of the new format will become a platform for constructive dialogue, the participants of which will determine the tactics and strategy of activity, develop ways of further development. I hope the project will open a new page in strengthening partnerships and will serve to strengthen the authority of domestic companies on the world stage.
