Results of the International competition of Young designers "Generation NEXT"
On March 16-19, 2017, at the specialized exhibition site «Fashion Industry» in the St. Petersburg CCM, the final of the XVII International Competition of Young Designers «Generation NEXT» was held, at which 100 projects were exhibited in the following directions «Textiles, «Costume » and «Graphic design » from students of 22 educational institutions of higher, secondary and additional education.
On March 16, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the winners of last year's competition were awarded and the first laureates of 2017 were named.
On the eve of the final, an online voting was traditionally held on the website ModaNews.ru . In total, more than 7 thousand votes were cast.
On March 17, 2017, a screening of the finalists in the direction of "Costume" and a meeting of the Professional jury of the competition took place. The jury noted the high level of the finalists and highlighted the most promising projects that meet the requirements of the modern fashion industry. The winners of the contest were Ivanova Anastasia (collections of cloth fabrics «Ethnography», «Impression», «Free Geometry», St. Petersburg State Art and Industrial Academy named after A. L. Stieglitz), Ksenia Permyakova (collection of youth clothing «Voice of the Streets», Kirov Technological College), Olga Dobrovolskaya (T-shirt project for youth «Geometry of the City», St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design). All the winners are invited to participate in the next fair at Farexpo.
