Itella company in Russia summed up the results of 2017
On April 11, during the reporting press conference, the management of Itella in Russia talked about the results of the company's work in 2017 and shared plans for 2018. The event was attended by the General Director of the company Jussi Kuutsa, Head of the Department of maritime, intermodal and rail transportation Alexey Podchufarov, Director of the Commercial department Dmitry Masaltsev and Head of the department for the development of new products Dmitry Lobanov.
The revenue of the group of companies Posti, of which Itella is a part, in 2017 amounted to 1 647 million euros, which is 2.5% more than in 2016, when this figure was equal to 1 608 million euros. According to Jussi Kuuts, in 2017 it was possible to keep Posti's revenue in all business areas at the level of 2016, while the profit of the group of companies in the e-commerce and cross-border trade segments increased.
The revenue of the courier company «Maxipost», which is part of the Itella Group of Companies, increased by more than 60% in 2017.
The revenue of Itella in Russia in the direction of air, sea and rail transportation in 2017 increased by more than 40% compared to 2016, in the directions of road transportation and contract logistics decreased slightly.
In general, the growth of revenue Itella in Russia was observed in the segments Fashion, FMCG food, Electronics, Pharma, Automotive, decrease in the segments DIY&Engineering and FMCG non-food.
In 2017, 20 new contracts were concluded in the direction of "Contract logistics", the revenue for them amounted to 250 million rubles. The average occupancy of the company's warehouse space in the Moscow region increased by 12% and reached 89%, while in other regions it remained at the level of 2016. Also, 85 new contracts were signed in the direction of "Transport logistics", the revenue for them amounted to 550 million rubles.
In 2017, the revenue of the logistics operator in the Moscow region increased by 0.9%, in the Northern region decreased by 10.6%, in the Eastern region by 1%, in the Southern region by 12.2%.
In the e-commerce direction, Itella's warehouse revenue in Russia increased by 55% in 2017. 66% of its volume was in the Moscow region, 34% in other regions of the country. Last year, the company processed 2,204,600 orders, which is twice as much as in 2016. Among the new clients of the operator is the network "Girlfriend", the company Canon, which are major players in the Russian market. In general, over the past four years, the operator's warehouse revenue in the e-commerce direction has grown by 637%.
The logistics operator managed to keep the customer satisfaction index at a high level in 2017: the NPS index was 23%. In 2018, the company plans to further increase it.
Investments Itella in Russia, client projects, IT solutions, warehouse maintenance projects amounted to about 200 million rubles. According to the company's plans, another 200 million rubles will be allocated for these areas in 2018.
This year Itella in Russia will continue to develop a project to manage its own fleet. In August-September, the company plans to undergo an audit and receive an ISO9001 quality certificate for transport activities.
