International Business Fashion-2018

November 1–2, 2018 in The St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the International Business Forum in the fashion industry for entrepreneurs of medium and small businesses International Business Fashion-2018. The purpose of the event, intended for a professional audience, is to create conditions for designers, buyers, manufacturers of textiles, clothing, shoes and accessories to enter the Russian market and the international market of the countries of the East Asian region. The organizer was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of St. Petersburg – company Academy of Design and Fashion "Renaissance" (LLC "Academy of Fashion").

 

 

The participants of the IBF-2018 discussed topical issues of industry development – improving the efficiency of garment production through the introduction of a production system and modern automation tools, ways to promote products and attract customers on the Internet, features of doing business with foreign partners and a number of other equally important topics.

 

An agreement on cooperation and partnership was signed at the forum between Chinese Business Center and By the Academy of Design and Fashion "Renaissance" about the organization and holding of Russian-Chinese Business Forum.

 

 

On the site of IBF there were shows of designer collections from manufacturers of women's clothing Emi and ECOLIFE, from young designer Yulia Dikaya, as well as a collection of children's clothing from Fashion Academy.

 

 

Opening the forum, Vice-President of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Tatiana Radion informed the participants about the activities of the Chamber, briefly highlighting the history of the mansion and the Theater Hall, in which the sister of Emperor Nicholas II Olga Alexandrovna held social events. "It is very symbolic that such a beautiful event is taking place in this hall. We believed in this project, supported it and congratulate the members of the Chamber, the Fashion Academy, on the fact that everything turned out, the Vice President noted.

 

 

Zhang Chuhang, Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Association of Young Entrepreneurs of St. Petersburg, President of the International Innovation Center «Leader», presented the concept of «One Belt – One Way», aimed at to develop China's trade and economic relations with more than 60 countries of Central Asia, Europe and Africa. Zhang Chuhang invited St. Petersburg entrepreneurs to establish cooperation and partnerships.

 

Tatiana Malevannaya, Head of the Department of the Regional Integrated Center of St. Petersburg, presented the existing export support programs in the city.

 

 

Gennady Gorbachev, men's clothing designer «Brand GG», discussed the global problems of domestic production and ways to promote Russian designers to the markets of the East.

 

Denis Fomin, ideologist, developer and integrator of innovative content models for the promotion of goods and services, co-founder of the B2B platform "Fashion magazin" raised the topic of wholesale sales on the Internet. He spoke about a new brand promotion tool in the wholesale market, the multi-channel platform of the fashion industry Fashion magazin, shared how to create the right content on the web to attract customers. 

 

 

Kirill Vladimirovich Lesnikov, Executive Director of the "Chinese Business Center" and Sergey Sergeevich Voronkov, Deputy General Director of the Russian-Chinese Business Park, revealed the topic of cooperation between the two countries (Russia and China) in the promotion of light industry products.

 

Tatiana Igorevna Gurevich, Vice president of the Union of Russian Buyers, spoke about the promotion programs of Russian designers in retail, aimed at giving brands the opportunity to work with multi-brand boutiques, and to help buyers find new interesting names in the world of Russian fashion.

 

 

Nina Chaplinskaya, Deputy Head of the Foreign Trade Department of the bank "Otkritie Financial Corporation" revealed the topic of business development with foreign partners, discussing such issues as: overcoming borders; opportunities, risks and rules of work in international markets.

 

The eventful business program helped the forum participants to learn about government support measures; to understand the current market situation, prospects and trends in the development of Russian brands; to find company growth points to increase turnover through system marketing; to learn about new forms of interaction between manufacturers and retail; to get direct contacts of partners in fabrics and automation of production, as well as contacts of foreign partners to promote clothing lines and much more.
