TUMI flagship in Moscow
February 20 in the center of the capital, at the intersection of Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street and Stoleshnikova lane, the flagship store of the American retailer and manufacturer of premium accessories TUMI opens. One of the most prestigious urban locations was chosen for its launch, characterized by high traffic and high demand among fashion retailers and restaurateurs. Consultant for the search and rental of premises with an area of 110 sq. m. m was the company JLL, the leader in the market of professional services in the real estate sector.
The TUMI brand, part of the Samsonite group, was founded in 1975 by American entrepreneur Charlie Clifford, a former Peace Corps volunteer and importer of leather bags from South America.Since 2017, the brand has been represented on the Russian market. At the moment, three branded stores have been opened in Moscow shopping centers "Afimall City", "Vegas Crocus City", Vnukovo Outlet Village"and a new monobrand boutique is being prepared for opening in St. Petersburg, on Nevsky Prospekt.
«The team of JLL managed to find the perfect room in a historic building, surrounded by other luxury brands, which traditionally creates a synergistic effect by analogy with the galleries of shopping centers,– noted Yulia Nazarova, head of Department street retail company JLL in Moscow.
CommentsAndrey Yazykov, CEO of Samsonite Russia: "For the opening of the flagship store of the brand TUMI in Moscow, we considered exclusively the very center of the city. Here, in the neighborhood of ancient manors, museums and the Bolshoi Theater, we will be able to create a chamber atmosphere that perfectly matches our brand, which, we are sure, will attract the attention of both our regular customers and many guests of Moscow. The store will feature a wide selection of accessories and exclusive models, including the new collection A3, which was launched by Lenny and Zoey Kravitz. Our plans include active expansion: in addition to the flagship on Bolshaya Dmitrovka, we plan to open a store in the Atrium shopping mall in March, and we are also negotiating the launch of several outlets in the second half of 2019.
